Motion film

A three-minute pitch film for a wellness-resort concept, plus a full set of ad cuts across 16:9 and 9:16 at four lengths — from a single creative brief through to broadcast-ready masters.

Produced from 4K source · compressed to 1080p for web · full-quality master delivered to the client

The photograph stays the source of truth.

Every motion clip in the final film traces to a single photograph the client already owned. Source on the left, motion on the right.

Beyond the photograph

Some shots have no source still. Where the brief asks for a moment the photograph couldn't reach — a macro detail, an establishing wide, a transition — we compose it for the film.

Frames from the film

Three moments from the master — the kind of beat the camera holds longest.

Frame at 0:25 — Opening establishing. The camera enters the property the way a guest does — slow, at eye level, no big reveal.

Frame at 1:40 — Mid-film hero moment. The longest single hold in the master. Stillness earns the weight of the next cut.

The constraint

A'ila Resorts came with a wellness-led hospitality concept that needed a complete pitch deck of motion film: a long-form three-minute master with narration for the deck and presentation room, plus a full ladder of paid-social and broadcast cuts at 60, 30, 15, and 6 seconds, in both widescreen and vertical aspect ratios.

The register had to be unmistakably wellness-premium — Aman, Six Senses, Belmond-tier. Slow, considered, never indulgent. The challenge was scaling one creative voice across nine distinct deliverables without any of them feeling like cut-down versions of the master.

The decision

We built the three-minute master first — establishing the colour palette, the pacing rhythm, the narration cadence — then derived every other cut as a deliberate composition for its own purpose, not just a trim of the long form.

The 60-second cut tells the same story compressed. The 30s opens with the strongest single image and ends on the brand close. The 15s and 6s are pure atmosphere — no narration, no copy, just texture and mood. Each vertical 9:16 cut is a separate edit, reframed deliberately, never a centre-crop of the widescreen.

What left the studio

  • Three-minute master — 1920×1080 widescreen, narrated
  • 60-second cut — 16:9 and 9:16, narrated
  • 30-second cut — 16:9 and 9:16
  • 15-second cut — 16:9 and 9:16
  • 6-second bumper — 16:9 and 9:16

What it proved

A'ila is the case study that proves the production model scales from a single brief to a complete content ladder. Same creative voice through nine deliverables. Same colour grade. Same pacing DNA. Different compositions, each one earning its own length.

In two languages

The same idea, in both languages, at the same scale. This is the bilingual promise — not a translation.
